Why MainQuest exists
Most productivity apps make you feel productive without making you any better. A habit tracker counts the days you ticked a box. A workspace app asks you to build the system before you can use it. An AI chatbot knows nothing about you until you paste your life into it.
Change usually fails for the same reason: the diary, the habits, the calendar and the health data live in different places and never speak to each other. MainQuest puts them in one place and gives them to an assistant who reads them together, so the question stops being “did I tick it today?” and becomes “what is actually getting in my way?”
What is in it
Five tools, one centre. Each has its own page with screenshots.
- HomeYour day in one look: a daily rating built from what you actually did, and your progress over the month and year.
- DashboardEvery habit on a monthly grid, with a consistency curve that shows whether it is sticking. Wearables tick habits off for you.
- DiaryA daily entry with a to-do list built in, or a quick reflection when there is no time to write.
- CalendarMonth, week and day views. Import your existing calendar, or ask Alfred to add and move events.
- AlfredAn AI assistant who already knows your week, remembers what matters to you, and gives you an honest weekly and monthly recap.
How it is different
MainQuest is built against three kinds of app that keep you busy instead of moving you forward.
| Instead of | The usual way | MainQuest |
|---|---|---|
| Habit trackers | Tick a box on, tick it off. The streak counts, but nothing asks why a habit keeps slipping. | Habits sit next to your diary, calendar, sleep and health, and Alfred reads them together to tell you what is getting in the way. |
| All-in-one workspaces | Endless blocks and templates. Building the system takes longer than doing the work it was for. | Nothing to build. The five tools are ready the moment you sign in, and they already talk to each other. |
| Do-it-yourself AI setups | Wiring a chatbot to your notes and calendar yourself, then paying per token for every question. | Alfred is built in, already has the context, and is part of one monthly price. |
Who it is for
People who have tried to change more than once, and are tired of starting over every January. Students, people early in their careers and anyone juggling work, training and a life outside both, who want one honest picture of how they are doing instead of five apps that each hold a piece of it.
How it is paid for
MainQuest is made independently in Switzerland, with no advertising business behind it. It is paid for by the people who use Alfred, which is why it has no reason to sell your data or keep you scrolling.

Privacy, briefly
No ads, no third-party trackers, no selling data. Your data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, under Swiss and EU data protection law. Alfred only reads your data once you agree, and your conversations with him stay on your device. Health data is read-only and never used for anything but the features you turned on. The whole story is in the privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
What is MainQuest?
MainQuest is a personal app that brings a diary, a habit tracker and a calendar into one place, with Alfred, an AI assistant who has read all three. It runs on the web and on iPhone and iPad, and keeps everything in sync.
Is MainQuest free?
Yes. The habit tracker, diary, calendar, widgets and sync across unlimited devices are free. Alfred, the AI assistant, comes with Lite at CHF 6 a month (CHF 59.99 a year) or Pro at CHF 13 a month (CHF 129.99 a year), which gives three times as much Alfred.
What does Alfred do?
Alfred is MainQuest's AI assistant. He sees your calendar, habits, diary and, if you connect them, your sleep and health data, so you never have to explain your life to get help with it. He adds and moves events, plans your week, checks in with you regularly and writes weekly and monthly recaps.
Which AI model does Alfred use?
Alfred runs on Claude, made by Anthropic. He is only used after you agree to it, and you can turn that off in Settings at any time.
Which wearables does MainQuest work with?
Apple Health (including Apple Watch), Fitbit and Strava. Sleep, steps, workouts and heart data can tick off habits automatically and help Alfred coach your sleep and spot stress.
How is MainQuest different from a habit tracker or a workspace app?
Habit trackers count ticks without knowing why a habit slips; workspace apps make you build your own system before you can use it. MainQuest is ready the moment you sign in, and its diary, habits, calendar and health data are connected, so Alfred can tell you what is actually going on.
Is my data private?
MainQuest has no ads and no third-party trackers, and never sells data. Your data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany. Conversations with Alfred are kept on your device, not in our database. The full details are in the privacy policy.
